Background
Wing Hang is the Division Head of Patents at DCC Advanz, she has a background in medical science and graduated from Flinders University with a Bachelors of Medical Science, majoring in genetics and infectious diseases. Prior to returning to Malaysia and joining DCC Advanz, Wing Hang spent some time in research in haematology with a prominent teaching Australian hospital known for its international reputation for research.

Wing Hang’s day to day activities revolve around the prosecution of patents. She is also proficient in conducting prior art searches and patent drafting, and regularly interacts and consults with clients in protecting their inventions. Her background and research experiences equips her to manage patents across a variety of fields, especially in the field of biochemistry, virology, neurology and pharmacology. As a Division Head, she is responsible for the training and education of the junior members as well as managing the department.

Outside of work, Wing Hang stays active through regular visits to the gym and enjoys catching up with family and friends. Her weekends are spent taste testing new brunch places, reading, trying out new baking recipes, and plotting a course to her next great travel destination (one of her great desires is to step foot and savour the flavour of every continent in the world!).
